real jazz in the French Quarter
Preservation Hall is the place to go if you want to hear some real jazz in the French Quarter. The "hall" itself isn't much of a hall but rather a windowless room with some benches. But don't let the non-descript building deter you.

Well worth the standing room only...
I've lived in LA for most of my 39 years and have made Preservation Hall on every visit to the quarter. These guys are amazing no matter who the new troop of musicians are whenever you go, the guys at P.H. really know how to pick them.

One of the mst wonderful experiences...
You have not been to New Orleans if you don't stop by Preservation Hall for a night of music. I thought I knew what jazz was but I was wrong. THAT was jazz!! It brought tears to my eyes... it was amazing, I would fly back to New Orleans

Blown away
I went to Preservation Hall Jazz after hearing so many great reviews on 5th May, 2010. I had never listened to jazz before except for stumbling upon it on various radio stations without actually realizing what jazz is all about.
